Redemption House Foundation has helped save the lives of 486 individuals. Redemption House Foundation is mainly staffed by sober and drug-free volunteers, many who are living in our New Beginning sober houses. Often, residents cannot be placed directly into sober living situations and they end up living on the street or in shelters, creating enormous pressure on their fragile sobriety. Occasionally, someone placed into a sober house relapses and they must leave the sober house immediately – Redemption House is the place where they can go until they recommit to their sobriety. Morrissey also works with other organizations like Answer House that provide recovery services for people transitioning out of inpatient treatment facilities.
Survivors in the declared Cumberland, Hancock, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Waldo, Washington and York counties in Maine who incurred damage from severe storms and flooding on Jan. 9-13, should apply for a physical damage disaster loan by the deadline. We are very proud to announce that we opened our fifth house in remembrance of the late Dick Ranaudo, a man who helped many people in their journey through recovery. The Dick Ranaudo House is a 14 bed house close to downtown New Haven. After opening the Richard House and seeing how effective it was in helping to change lives, we felt an overwhelming desire and passion to help more people by opening up Carson’s House. The Recovery Mansion was opened December 2017 and is home to 21 men including two house managers. On a direct bus route where buses downtown come every 15 minutes, the mansion features 6 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, a meeting room, a game room and a backyard that hosts numerous sober functions.
Many amazing things have happened to me since February 4, 2008; it was a day that changed my life forever. Today I am a father of two amazing boys, Ricky and Carson, whom I want to set a great Answer House example for. New Beginnings Housing work as part of a multi-agency team, we may liaise with social services, probation services, alcohol services, detox nurses and any other relevant agency.
